Paul Poutouves fusion performance

Paul Poutouves, DPT, PT, OCS, ATC

Dr. Paul Poutouves is a graduate from Hofstra University where he received his degree in Sports Medicine in 2001. After graduation, Paul went on to become the Athletic Trainer for the New York Jets. Paul’s passion in sports management and rehab lead him to be recruited by the nationally renowned Physical Therapist, Steven Wirth.

Under direct mentorship and training from Stephen Wirth, Paul was given the opportunity to provide post-season rehab and strength training for the New York Islanders and New York Rangers for over 6 years. Paul excelled in this position and was asked to be a part of an elite team that traveled to Switzerland to train potential Olympic Hockey players.

In 2007 Paul decided to further his career and attended Mercy College in New York where he graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Since becoming a PT, he obtained his board certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), accomplished by only 1% of physical therapists nationwide. Paul has run numerous PT clinics as well as teach courses in Physical Therapy, Powerlifting, and Functional Weight Training.

He is also a Certified Clinical Instructor and Certified in the Graston Technique. Paul has a passion for functional rehab and training, as well as improving human performance. He is a Crossfit Competitor, Triathlete, and Marathon Runner.
