She played soccer in the elite clubs national league from 2008-2013 where she was recruited to play at the collegiate level. Erica committed to Boston University to play soccer as a center forward, and went on to finish her high school soccer career with 47 goals and 21 assists, as well as being named to the all-New England team.

At Boston University, Erica had successful athletic and academic careers. She was the leading goal scorer as a freshman, earning several accolades including Patriot League rookie of the year, and went on to play in three NCAA Division I tournaments. Erica’s knowledge and admiration for Physical Therapy grew after undergoing knee surgeries sophomore and junior year and returning for her full senior season, starting in all games but one. Erica graduated from BU in 2017 with a B.S. in Health Sciences and minors in Human Physiology and Public Health. She then went on to attend Simmons University near Fenway for her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2019.

Erica’s clinical affiliations consisted of a diverse range of settings in several Northeastern states including multiple orthopedic outpatient settings, working on the transplant floor at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, and a final clinical affiliation at MGH Sports Physical Therapy. This is a well known facility that works with teams including the Bruins and Patriots, where she focused heavily on ACL rehabilitation and other lower limb surgical interventions. Erica is passionate about functional rehabilitation, helping people return to doing what they love without pain, and improving overall human performance.
